In this hands-on class, young chefs will discover the delicious world of empanadas—a popular hand pie enjoyed in many cultures around the globe. Kids will learn how to roll dough, choose fillings, fold, seal, and crimp their own empanadas from start to finish. Each child will create both sweet and savory empanadas, using kid-friendly fillings like cheese and chicken. They will also make sweet empanadas filled with treats such as chocolate or fruit. Throughout the class, we’ll discuss the origins of empanadas, practice teamwork in the kitchen, prioritize safety, and build confidence with simple baking skills. At the end of the session, our young chefs will enjoy tasting their creations and will take home extra empanadas to share!
