Ahh!! The smell of fresh bread. Nothing smells as wonderful.
Let’s learn the art of simple bread making.
Homemade breads have the added benefit of not having the preservatives that are found in store-bought breads. Don’t worry about that though, your loaves will disappear before they have time to go bad.
In this workshop, you will learn how to make simple yeast breads and rolls. As an added bonus, you also will learn how to turn basic breads into dessert bread.
Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native. Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that have been forgotten over time. She was taught ways of the hearth by her mother and grandmother, and the ways of the wild by her father who was an outdoor instructor and park ranger. Her stories and insights will keep your entertained as she passes along the knowledge of the “old ways”.
This class is part of our new Home Spun series, designed to get us back in touch with our hand-made heritage.
