APPLE SAUCE & APPLEBUTTER w/ ELLEN HARBIN-DABBS, FEBRUARY 15TH at 11AM, $40 PER PERSON

February 15 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

$40.00

Bring your crockpots! It’s Apple Butter Time in Tennessee. We’ll go over how to start with just an apple and how to make it into many different items. We don’t want to waste any of those delicious apples. You will need a crockpot (you will finish your apple butter at home) and two pint jars. Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native. Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that have been forgotten. Her mother and grandmother taught her the ways of the hearth, and her father, an outdoor instructor and park ranger, taught her the ways of the wild. Her stories and insights will keep you entertained as she passes the knowledge of the “old ways.”
This class is part of our new Home Spun series, designed to reconnect us with our handmade heritage.
