We will learn the differences between the different types of fruit spreads and how to make and preserve them. We will even get to eat some of our yummy creations. You will need 1 pint canning jars, lids and rings to take your goodies home.
Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native. Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that have been forgotten over time. She was taught ways of the hearth by her mother and grandmother, and the ways of the wild by her father who was an outdoor instructor and park ranger. Her stories and insights will keep your entertained as she passes along the knowledge of the “old ways”.
This class is part of our new Home Spun series, designed to get us back in touch with our hand-made heritage.
