CREATIVE USES FOR SOURDOUGH "DISCARDS" w/ ELLEN HARBIN-DABBS, MAY 19TH, 2:00 PM, $25 PER PERSON

Discard, feed, discard, feed, WOAH!!!!  Many folks give up on making their own sourdough because of all the waste.  Why are you throwing all of that wonderful sourdough away? This can be used in other recipes besides making a loaf of bread. Let’s learn what we can use the discard for instead of putting it in the trash.

Ellen Harbin-Dabbs is a Tennessee native.  Growing up in the Tennessee State Park system, she learned many traditional skills that have been forgotten over time.  She was taught ways of the hearth by her mother and grandmother, and the ways of the wild by her father who was an outdoor instructor and park ranger.  Her stories and insights will keep your entertained as she passes along the knowledge of the “old ways”.
